x St. Jordi rose for Simbòlic Casa Batlló

Exclusive collaboration for one of my favorite festivities in Barcelona. Casa Batlló becomes a symbol of the city by decorating their facade balconies with red roses.

An old story tells there was a small town, threatened by a hungry dragon. The village people fed it with sheep and cattle. Until one day, there were none left. So the king suggested they would have to give in people from the town by random choice. But, oh no! It was the princess’s turn.

While she was on her way to the dragons cave, a brave knight called St. Jordi appeared. He fought the evil creature by stabbing his sword and killed it.

From the dragons blood, a flower started to bloom, stained in red, and became the symbol of victory and freedom of the village.

This very special collaboration with Simbòlic Casa Batlló brings closer this traditional festivity to locals and international visitors.

Handcrafted in Barcelona, each red glass rose is unique in its shape. You may find various sizes.

Exclusively available at Simbòlic Casa Batlló boutique: Carrer Passeig de Gràcia, 43, Barcelona.
